BLUCODE PROJECT Curriculum
The BLUCODE Project is an APPLIED web application development training course in which it is divided into three parts, Part I is Fundamentals in Software Development, Part II is Open-Source tools and Part III is Knowledge Application (project).
The campers will be introduced to important learning principles and programming techniques in web application development and then they will be exposed to real world projects.
Part I - Software Development Methodologies
This course will help the Blucode-campers acquire the knowledge and methodologies in the right procedure to develop software or web applications as being practiced by the biggest software companies in the world. The campers will also acquire design techniques to help them effectively design web applications using the Unified Modeling Language (UML). They will also be exposed to the ESA software development process including to the different collaborative tools.
Part II – Open Source Tools, Programming Techniques and Quality Assurance Procedures
This course will equip the campers with the skills and value of using Open Source Technology, particularly PHP & MYSQL, in software development and how these technologies will help developers implement their projects effectively. The campers will also be introduced to rapid application development techniques using application framework strategies to speedily deliver large projects. The campers will also be introduced to the value of quality assurance procedures to ensure that their applications will run bug-free.
Part III - Knowledge Application
This course will expose the campers to real world projects using the knowledge they learn. At the end of the project all participants will be given training certification and an endorsement for future job application.
